Sheffield Business Park

Phase II of the business park forms a natural extension to the well established employment site situated on the former site of Sheffield City Airport to the south west of Sheffield. The site originally gained outline consent for a mixture of employment uses including B1a, B1c, B2 and B8 as well as ancillary retail and leisure uses. PRC have been involved in reworking the original concept to increase the developable area within the site and develop a flexible master planning and landscape strategy that will enable the scheme to be progressively developed over a ten year period.

The vision for the site is to provide a high quality, stimulating landmark development making a meaningful contribution to the environment and workplace, improving and enhancing the existing business park environment.

The strategic landscape is a significant feature of the site which is divided in to three distinct areas linked by a landscaped corridor including suds and a cycle / footway. The proposals include a strong emphasis on sustainability with building orientation, sustainable drainage and non car modes of transport being important considerations within the design.
